Uganda

Infusing a verdant bed of green into the centre of the continent, the ‘Pearl of Africa’ is a country of rich topographical contrasts – from the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains to the expansive Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake. Uganda’s landscape is dotted with waterfalls, hot springs, and the Semliki Wildlife Reserve.

The country is home to thousands of bird species, and almost half as many mammals. Uganda’s protected areas also boast an incredible array of flora – providing almost Jurassic vistas among its landscapes. However, one of the most notable draws of this vibrant country is its famous Mountain Gorillas – now humanely preserved in Uganda’s dense forests.

Unique wildlife encounters such as chimpanzee and gorilla trekking provide ample tourism opportunities – coming face-to-face with these fascinating and human-like creatures is a mesmerising experience. Expect to see a plethora of wildlife, including the Big Five, while enjoying the faultless hospitality of the Ugandan people.
