A fly-in safari from Entebbe to Bwindi is perfect for those short on time and keen to experience one of the most thrilling wildlife encounters on earth, trekking Mountain Gorillas. Situated just inside the Park gate, Buhoma Lodge offers wonderful views out over the forest – and we often have gorillas and other primates IN the garden!
This trip can also be tailored to add in game viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park or chimp trekking in Kibale.
Day 1: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
You will be met on arrival by a Wild Frontiers representative and transferred through local villages and along mountain roads to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a World Heritage site.
The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. Its mist-covered hillsides are blanketed by one of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests. This ‘impenetrable’ forest is also home to an estimated 460 mountain gorillas – including several habituated families.
Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Coming face to face with mountain gorillas is a rare and exhilarating wildlife encounter that is hard to capture in words. Once you have located your gorilla family, spend an hour quietly observing them.
Head back to Buhoma Lodge for a complimentary post-trek massage, or explore the surrounding Bwindi community.
Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Those with additional pre-purchased permits will depart for a second gorilla trekking experience. Or spend the day at your leisure exploring the Bwindi area – optional activities include forest walks, a visit to a local school/ orphanage/ hospital or Batwa pygmy village, or some local curio shopping.
Day 4: Entebbe – Departure
Transfer to the airstrip for your return flight Kihihi to Entebbe International airport.

- Flight Entebbe – Kihihi with shared transfer Kihihi airstrip to Buhoma Lodge
- 3 nights accommodation at Buhoma Lodge including all meals (full board) and local drinks
