A wonderful 12-day tour of Cambodia. We will take you on a truly unique journey through Cambodia, from the temples in the north to the beaches of the south. Along the way you will enjoy the splendour of the Angkor temples, including Angkor Wat complex, the Elephant Terrace and the South Gate. Hike to the summit of Cambodia’s most sacred mountain and spend two nights at a luxurious floating eco retreat – a truly unique experience.

Day 1: Departure

Depart from your country of origin for your flight to Siem Reap. We can include flights if you require them.

Day 2: Siem Reap (B)

On arrival at Siem Reap Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel, Navutu Dreams Resort & Spa. The afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy the hotel’s excellent facilities and unwind after your flight.

Day 3: Angkor Temples (B, L)

After breakfast, you will start your day visiting some of the most iconic temples in Cambodia.

Visit the South Gate the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century), with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk. You’ll also see the Bayon temple, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.

The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture.

After lunch you will head to the famous Angkor Wat – best preserved of all the Angkor temples. Time is allowed for a thorough exploration of this huge architectural wonder before climbing to the top of ancient Pre Rup temple to watch the sunset over the jungle.

Day 4: Beng Mealea & Kampong Khleng (B/L)

Start your day with a three hour walking tour of the temples of Beng Mealea, a slumbering giant lost for centuries in the forests of Cambodia. It is the most accessible of Angkor’s lost temples, a mirror image of Angkor Wat, but utterly consumed by the voracious appetite of nature.

Next, take a boat trip to Kampong Khleng, one of the largest permanent communities living on the Tonle Sap Lake. In the dry season you can walk through the village and be amazed at what looks like a forest of stilt houses rising up to ten metres in the air. In the wet season when the lake is at its fullest, take a boat along the roads that have turned into rivers, lapping up against the houses.

In the evening you’ll enjoy a wonderful creative circus, the proceeds of which assists poor and disabled children gain education and livelihoods.

Day 5: Waterfall at Kulen Mountain (B/L)

This morning you will drive approximately 2 hours to Kulen mountain, considered to be the most sacred mountain in Cambodia. At the summit you will see the great reclining Buddha carved into the sandstone boulders and enjoy spectacular views of the plains. Enjoy a well-deserved lunch by a waterfall where you can swim and relax. Enjoy the evening at your leisure in Siem Reap.

Day 6: Phnom Penh (B)

Transfer to Siem Reap International Airport and fly to Phnom Penh where you will be transferred to your hotel. In the evening enjoy the sunset overlooking the Royal Palace.

Day 7: Phnom Penh (B, L)

Today, take a tour of the charming capital with a visit to the city’s namesake, Wat Phnom. This pagoda was built to house Buddhist relics washed ashore by the river. See the Royal Palace built in 1866 by King Norodom and visit the Silver Pagoda, so named because of its floor that is comprised of 5,000 silver tiles.

You’ll visit the National Museum, an exceptional example of traditional architecture, and devoted to preserving and displaying Khmer art and sculptures. After lunch, drive to the killing fields of Choeung Ek. Visit the notorious S-21 Tuol Sleng Museum. In 1975 Tuol Svay Prey High School was taken over by Pol Pot’s security forces and turned into a prison known as Security Prison 21 (S-21).

Day 8: Phnom Penh – Koh Kong (B)

Your driver will collect you from your hotel and transfer you to Koh Kong where you will board the 4 Rivers Eco Lodge Boat which will take you to your hotel. This boutique, environmentally friendly resort is located at the foot of the Cardamom Mountains and has beautiful panoramic views, a gourmet restaurant, swimming pool and spa. Make the most of your surroundings with activities such as kayaking, nature walks to the nearby Tatai waterfall and mangrove forests or exploring deeper into the Cardamom Mountains.

Day 9: 4 Rivers Floating Eco Lodge (B)

Day at leisure to relax and enjoy the lodge and its facilities Day 10: Sihanoukville (B) After breakfast you will travel onto Sihanoukville, approximately 4 hours drive. You will check into your hotel set amidst an expansive 15 hectares of gloriously manicured beachfront garden along 1.5 kilometres of pristine white sandy beach.

Day 10: Sihanoukville (B)

After breakfast you will travel onto Sihanoukville, approximately 4 hours drive. You will check into your hotel set amidst an expansive 15 hectares of gloriously manicured beachfront garden along 1.5 kilometres of pristine white sandy beach.

Day 11: Sihanoukville (B)

Time at leisure to relax and enjoy the resort and the beaches.

Day 12: Departure (B)

Your last day! Check out of the hotel for the transfer to Phnom Penh airport for your onward flight.
