Oman Cycling & Hiking Adventure

Day 1: Arrival in Muscat

Arrive in Muscat and transfer to your hotel for the start of the trip.

Day 2: Muscat Half Day City Tour

Explore Muscat’s key sights, including the Grand Mosque, museum collections, the old town and forts, and time to browse Muttrah Souq. The rest of the day is kept flexible.

Day 3: Muscat – Nakhl – Wadi Bani Auf – Bilad Sayt – Jebel Shams

Travel inland with stops including Seeb fishing village and Nakhl’s springs, then take the adventurous mountain route through Wadi Bani Auf to the striking village setting of Bilad Sayt. Continue into the Jebel Shams area for dinner and an overnight stay at Sama Heights Resort.

Day 4: Panoramic Bike Tour Al Hamra

A guided cycling day through the Al Hamra area, riding up towards Misfat Al Abriyeen and exploring its lanes, farms and falaj irrigation, then continuing through old Al Hamra and date plantations before returning to Sama Heights for the evening.

Day 5: Al Khatim – Jebel Shams Abandoned Village Walk

A guided hike from Al Khatim through an abandoned mountain village, followed by time for viewpoints and stops in Wadi Ghul and Wadi Nakhr before returning to your lodge to relax.

Day 6: Al Hamra – Jebel Akhdar

Drive towards Jebel Akhdar, with the option to visit Al Hoota Caves, and time for cultural stops in the Nizwa region plus a short walk through Birkat Al Mauz’s oasis and date plantations. In the afternoon, hike the village trails on the Sayq Plateau before overnight at Sama Jebel Akhdar Hotel.

Day 7: Jebel Akhdar Hiking Tour – Wahiba Sands

Begin with a guided high-elevation hike on old trails through abandoned settlements and greener pockets fed by flowing water, then continue to Wahiba Sands for dinner and overnight at 1000 Nights Camp.

Day 8: Wahiba Sands – Bedouin Visit – Wadi Bani Khalid – Sur – Fins Beach – Muscat

After desert time and a Bedouin visit, enjoy dune bashing before heading to Wadi Bani Khalid for its clear pools. Continue via Sur to Fins Beach, then return to Muscat for your final night (the accommodation summary lists Mysk Al Mouj).

Day 9: Departure

Transfer to Muscat Airport for your international flight home.
