Day 1: Arrival Amman
Arrive at Queen Alia International Airport, where you will be met and assisted through visa and customs procedures before being transferred to your hotel in Amman. The House Boutique Suites offers a modern, comfortable base in the city centre, ideal for unwinding after your journey or exploring Amman’s lively cafés and markets.
Day 2: Jerash – Ajloun – Ajloun Nature Reserve
Travel north to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman cities in the world, with its temples, theatres and colonnaded streets. Continue to Ajloun to explore its 12th-century Islamic castle before entering the nearby Ajloun Nature Reserve, where you stay in forest cabins surrounded by oak and pistachio trees.
Day 3: Ajloun Nature Reserve – Pella
Begin the day with a guided hike along the Rasoun Trail, passing ancient trees, ruined wine presses and the valley below. Visit the Soap House at the Royal Academy for Nature Conservation and join a farm-cooking session to prepare a local dish such as Gallayeh. In the afternoon, drive to Pella, an archaeological site rich with remains from the Bronze Age to the Byzantine period, and stay overnight at Bait Al Fannan, an artist’s retreat among olive groves.
Day 4: Pella – Umm Qais
Take part in a cheese-making or shepherding experience with a local family, learning traditional goat milking and cheese production. Afterwards, visit Umm Qais (ancient Gadara), set on a ridge overlooking the Sea of Galilee and Golan Heights, to explore its colonnaded streets and Roman theatres. Overnight at Bait Al Baraka, a charming guesthouse blending local heritage with panoramic valley views.
Day 5: Umm Qais – Amman
Enjoy a guided cycling tour through the farmland and rolling hills around Umm Qais before returning to Amman. In the afternoon, explore the capital’s highlights, including the Citadel, Archaeological Museum and Roman Theatre, before spending the night again at the House Boutique Suites.
Day 6: Amman – Madaba – Mt Nebo – King’s Way – Kerak – Petra
Drive south via Madaba to see the mosaic map at St George’s Church, then on to Mt Nebo, the traditional burial site of Moses, and continue along the historic King’s Way. Stop at Kerak to visit its Crusader castle before arriving in Petra for a two-night stay.
Day 7: Petra and Little Petra
Spend a full day exploring Petra with a local guide, entering through the Siq to the Treasury and continuing to the Monastery for sweeping mountain views. In the evening, experience traditional Bedouin hospitality at Ammarin Camp in Little Petra, enjoying local dishes cooked over an open fire.
Day 8: Petra – Wadi Rum
