Patagonia to the End of the World

Promising a blend of cultural riches, incredible natural beauty and thrilling experiences, this two-week adventure sees you exploring the best of Chile & Argentina – from the riveting capital of Santiago and Valparaiso’s multihued charm, to the panoramic bliss of Patagonia and the scenic sights of Tierra del Fuego.

Lastly, upon reaching Ushuaia, the southernmost city in South America, you will be acquainted with a range of wonderful landscapes such as Ensenada Bay, Roca Lake and finally, Lapataia Bay, where you will truly feel as if you are at the “End of the World”…

Day 1: Santiago

Upon arrival at Santiago airport, transfer to your hotel in Santiago.  Arrive, check in, and continue on a tour of the city.

We will begin our excursion in the Santa Lucia Hill. We will continue to Plaza de Armas, the main square, surrounded by the Cathedral, the main post office, the National Historic Museum and the Municipality of the city. Visit the Constitución square and have the opportunity to see the government palace, La Moneda.

Our next stop will be the Museum of Pre-Columbian Art, continuing our tour to the Central Market, where we will visit a typical seafood restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch (not included).

Afterwards, we will drive through Barrio Bellavista with its many cultural activities and finally, we will make a last stop at the San Cristóbal Hill, a very well-known recreational area with a fantastic view of the city. (FD)

Day 2: Full Day Valparaiso Tour

Fall in love with the beauty and charm of the city of Valparaiso, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Ride a funicular to the top of Cerro Concepción and visit the Atkinson and Gervasoni viewpoints, continuing towards Plaza Sotomayor, before walking along the waterfront and visiting the city’s major attractions.

Enjoy a captivating exploration of Chile’s capital, Cerro San Cristobal provides panoramic views of the cityscape from its summit, inviting visitors to admire Santiago’s sprawling beauty.

Day 3: Santiago to Punta Arenas / Torres del Paine

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Punta Arenas.

Puerto Natales rests amidst the stunning landscape of Chilean Patagonia. Acting as a gateway to Torres del Paine National Park. Its strategic location makes it an ideal starting point for outdoor adventures, including hiking, glacier exploration, and embracing the untamed beauty of Patagonia’s wilderness.

Day 4 – 5: Torres del Paine

Enjoy the guided tours of the area offered by the resort.

Day 6: Travel to El Calafate

Private service with driver only (no guide), from your hotel in Torres del Paine National Park until the border between Chile and Argentina, in the Argentinian side called Cancha Carrera, in where your local Argentinian guide and driver will meet you to transport you to the city of El Calafate.

El Calafate is home to the enchanting Perito Moreno Glacier, one of 365 glaciers in the national park and received its first definitive name of Perito Moreno in 1889.

Day 7: El Calafate / Perito Moreno Glacier

Perito Moreno Glacier – declared World Heritage by UNESCO – is undoubtedly one of the most incredible spectacles of nature that surprises with its impressive calvings.

Reach the Peninsula de Magallanes for views of the glacier. Then we go on to the Port “Bajo La Sombra”, where those interested can take a one hour optional boat ride to get closer to the south face of the Glacier.

Finally, we drive the last 7 km to arrive at the walkways, from where we can enjoy different views and perspectives from the surface. Here you’ll have enough time to walk around the 5 km of the different trails (green, red, yellow and blue) to enjoy not only the glacier but also the native vegetation and wildlife.

Day 8: Glorious Glaciers

Get to know the northern part of Lake Argentino. We will take Provincial Route 11 and arrive at Puerto Bandera, where we will embark on a modern Catamaran. The navigation begins by entering the North Arm of the Lake, crossing the Devil’s Mouth, a narrow natural access. Continuing the navigation through the Spegazzini Arm we will begin to observe the Heim Sur, Peineta, Seco glaciers and finally arrive at the Spegazzini Glacier.

We will disembark at the base and begin the visit to the area, walking through the forest path to the Refuge. This 300-meter trail is easily accessible; as we go through it, we stop at stations and viewpoints with views of the entire Glacier Bay. In the Refuge, we can have lunch (Optional) while enjoying the landscape.

Day 9: El Calafate to Ushuaia

Transfer to El Calafate airport for your flight to Ushuaia.

Best known as “The End of The World”, Ushuaia is situated in the province of Tierra del Fuego; framed by the stunning Beagle Channel, the city is 3,260 km from Buenos Aires. As an adventureland, there are several ways to explore its diversity: walks down the coast of the Beagle Channel among lengas and lakes surrounded by mole and condor caves; or you can travel on the antique prisoners train. Also by kayak to the Cabo los Hornos, and even by horse looking for the old aborigine settlements.

On arrival, transfer to your hotel in the city.

Day 10: Tierra del Fuego National Park

Visit the only National Park located in Tierra del Fuego Island. Within the National Park you can witness the local flora that reach a great height and become truly beautiful during winter.

Fauna is represented by both native and foreign species, such as the red fox, beaver, rabbit and different species of birds. The Park hosts wonderful landscapes such as Ensenada Bay, Roca Lake and finally, Lapataia Bay, where you will truly feel as if you are at the “End of the World”…

Day 11: Beagle Channel Navigation

This tour departs from Touristic Pier and proposes a navigation through Ushuaia Bay and Beagle Channel to contemplate the city of Ushuaia, in one of its best postcards.

This city offers a unique combination of mountains, sea and forests. Olivia and Cinco Hermanos hills, the Fique and Túnel ranches can also be observed. The navigation brings us closer to the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse where you can see a colony of cormorants.

On the way back you can photograph the Isla de los Lobos – to enjoy this attractive marine mammal, the seal – and the Despard Island, imperial cormorants’ natural habitat. During the trip we observe Magellan cormorants and the majestic imperial cormorant, albatross, fullman petrels, giant petrels, squas and twenty different species of sea birds.

Day 12: Ushuaia to Buenos Aires

Private transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires.

Arrive and transfer to your hotel. Evening at leisure.

Day 13: Panoramic Buenos Aires City Tour

Experience the pulse of Argentina: its capital city Buenos Aires, where culture, history, and art converge in immaculate style: we will visit the symbol of its city, the Obelisk, squares such as Plaza de Mayo, Plaza San Martin and Plaza Alvear; Avenida De Mayo, Corrientes and 9 de Julio among other avenues; La Boca and San Telmo, historic neighborhoods, the magnificent Palermo and Recoleta areas and modern neighborhoods like Puerto Madero; Lezama Park and Tres de Febrero (Palermo) and the commercial and financial areas of the city.

Return to your hotel for evening at leisure.

Day 14: Departure

After breakfast, transfer back to the airport for your return flight.
