This two-week adventure lets you delve into the rich culture and natural beauty of Chile. Discover the characterful city of Santiago, explore the enigma of Easter Island and be mesmerised by the otherworldly Atacama.

Taste the unique flavours of Chilean cuisine and indulge in tantalising wine tastings… this tour allows you to experience the very best of Chile!

Day 1: Depart Birmingham

Depart UK airport in the evening for a short flight to Paris and overnight flight to Santiago (business class).

Day 2: Transfer to Santiago

Upon arrival at Santiago airport, meet your representative and driver for short transfer to your hotel in Santiago.  Arrive, check in, relax, day at leisure.

Day 3: Flavours of Chile (B, L)

Explore the cultural heart of Santiago, Chile with a private tour of the city’s famous local markets. Start at La Vega Market for a taste of the freshest fruits and vegetables, followed by a refreshing glass of “mote con huesillo”.

Move on to the Central Market, where you’ll find a wide variety of seafood, meat, bread, and other delicacies, including a traditional Chilean “empanada”. Finish your tour with a leisurely lunch and a glass of fine wine at a typical Chilean restaurant.

Day 4: Easter Island (B, D)

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Easter Island. Arrive and transfer to your hotel.

A mystery like no other: discover Rapa Nui’s untold stories and astounding cultural landscapes through carefully crafted explorations.

Each moai, volcano and archaeological site is a clue into what anthropologists and archaeologists have yet to understand about the island: how was it inhabited and how did its inhabitation is the larges clue to the inhabitation of the Americas.

Day 5/6: Easter Island

Days at leisure. Enjoy the choice of inclusive tours provided by your lodge.

All explorations have been designed in order to gradually unveil the territory’s essence – either on foot, bicycle or at sea. Each day, one of our guides will gladly help you choose the right exploration for your interests and provide further information on each zone.

Our explorations, always led by a bilingual guide from our Guide School, take place in English or Spanish for groups of maximum eight travelers.  A rich programme of exploration will be provided for you each evening.

Day 7: Easter Island to Santiago

Return to the airport for travel back to the mainland, arrive in Santiago for a night’s rest. A hotel close to the airport is suggested for the short turnaround before your next adventure.

Day 8: San Pedro de Atacama

The Atacama Desert stretches from the rugged Pacific coast of northern Chile to the steep Andean slopes of southwestern Bolivia.

We will be transported to the town of ‘San Pedro de Atacama. Later that day, we will adventure out to the mystifying Moon Valley boasting incredible stone and sand formations.

In the afternoon, we will visit Toconao; a village where white volcanic stone sculptures are made by locals. Afterwards, we will continue on to the Atacama Salt Lake; an inland sea formed millions of years ago and an impressive sight dominated by rock formations and crystalized salt.

Day 9/10: Atacama

The explorations in Atacama are divided into five different altitude zones, each with a set of unique geographic, cultural and biospheric characteristics. All explorations have been designed in order to gradually unveil the territory’s essence – either on foot, bicycle or from within the Explora observatory.

Our travelers have the possibility of choosing different explorations every day. These explorations have different lengths and difficulty levels.

Day 11: Return to Santiago / Transfer to Valparaiso

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to Santiago.

On arrival, transfer to the coastal town of Valparaiso.  Evening at leisure.

Day 12: Full Day Casablanca-Viña-Valparaiso

Discover the best of Chile’s wine region with a full-day excursion to the Casablanca Valley. Visit the fertile agricultural valley of Curacaví and indulge in typical Chilean cuisine at one of its many restaurants. Then, enjoy a tour and tasting at one of the premium wineries in the Casablanca Valley.

Continue the journey to the resort city of Viña del Mar, famous for its gardens and flower clock. Return to Valparaíso, Chile’s oldest and most important port, and explore its picturesque layout and winding streets.

English-speaking guide and lunch included. Please note, additional costs may apply depending on the schedule.

Day 13: Valparaiso at leisure (B)

Enjoy the day exploring the beautiful coastal town alone.

Day 14: Matetic Vineyard Wine Tasting (B)

On this excursion we will be whisked away to the countryside for a tour through the vast fertile lands of central Chile. The road will lead us through wonderful and important grape-growing valleys including Curacaví, known for its fruits and for its broad variety of restaurants offering typical Chilean food. As part of this excursion, we will enjoy a tasting at two of the many boutique wineries that are part of this flourishing wine route. We will visit a vineyard on the way back to Santiago.

Private service with English speaking guide, wine tastings (4 wines at Matetic Winery), tasting in Matetic based on shared services. Depending on the schedule of this service, additional costs may apply. Wineries in Chile are closed during national holidays.

Day 15: Santiago at leisure (B)

There are many tours of interest that further explore the region, or spend one day at leisure in the city.

Day 16: Departure (B)

After breakfast, transfer back to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
