Day 1: Antananarivo

Arrive into Ivato Airport and meet your English-speaking guide, then transfer to your hotel in Antananarivo. Time to settle in, use the pool, and take in views over the city before dinner. Overnight at Maison Gallieni.

Day 2: Antananarivo – Maroantsetra – Masoala

After an early breakfast, transfer to Ivato Airport for your scheduled charter flight to Maroantsetra. On arrival, transfer to the jetty and take a boat across Antongil Bay to Masoala Forest Lodge. Settle into your thatch-and-canvas tree house, then lunch is served in the beach house. The afternoon focuses on the lodge area’s beaches and coastal forest, with a guided walk along the coast past Tampolo Point. Return for sundowners on the beach before dinner. Overnight at Masoala Forest Lodge.

Day 3: Masoala

After breakfast, walk the coast and continue into primary rainforest in search of red-ruffed lemurs, dwarf chameleons and other endemic wildlife, then return to camp by boat for lunch and rest. The afternoon activity is snorkelling on nearby coral reefs or a guided sea kayak to the lookout rock at Secret Cove for sunset. Overnight at Masoala Forest Lodge in a tree house.

Day 4: Masoala

Guided walk through the coastal forest for birds and mammals, including ground-rollers and mixed flocks that can include multiple vanga species. Continue to the Tampolo River for a swim in clear pools at the foot of the forested mountains, then return to camp in a traditional dugout canoe downriver. After lunch, time for swimming on the private beaches or snorkelling. In the evening, take a guided nocturnal walk for species such as leaf-tailed geckos and mouse lemurs, with the possibility of an aye-aye. Overnight at Masoala Forest Lodge.

Day 5: Masoala – Maroantsetra – Antananarivo

Return by boat to Maroantsetra for your scheduled charter flight back to Antananarivo. On arrival, transfer to your hotel near the airport. Overnight at Hotel Nosy Manga in a King Standard room.

Day 6: Departure

Transfer to Ivato Airport in time for your international outbound flight.
