Food Jamming in Cape Town
Food Jams! There’s no better way of finding out about the soul of a place than getting stuck into the food! On our recent small group tour to South Africa, food and wine were top of the agenda and a cooking class at Food Jams in Salt River was a huge highlight. Created by a former Masterclass contestant, the sense of fun and experimentation at Food Jams epitomises the joy of cooking together.
With great music, delicious recipes and a little help from the ever smiling kitchen team, this is a recipe for an awesome evening. The night was made even more special when you have to navigate the inevitable Cape Town loadshedding- timing the evening to finish the cooking on gas and plating up and eating by candlelight added a whole new memorable dimension to the evening.
Food Jams has left an indelible mark on the culinary world. Jocelyn Myers-Adams and Jade de Waal’s commitment to fostering a sense of community through food has inspired countless individuals to embrace cooking as an art form and a means of connection. Their emphasis on creativity, sustainability, and local collaboration has influenced the way people think about food and its role in their lives.
We would highly recommend including this evening in your tour of Cape Town. Ask your travel specialist to contact Jade and find out if there’s a group cooking class happening during your time in South Africa.
