Rwanda is a scenic landscape of green rolling hills and tea plantations. The northwest is dominated by the magnificent Virunga Mountain range – a group of six towering volcanoes standing sentry along the border of Rwanda. Spend 2 nights in the Volcanoes National Park, surrounded by mountains and lush vistas. Enjoy an exciting experience gorilla trekking with experienced local guides and meeting these gentle giants in their natural habitat.

Day 1: Kigali (B-D)

Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, you will be met at the airport by our representative who transfer you to your hotel in Kigali to overnight. Relax in a luxury eco-friendly solar powered lodge with sustainable modern chalet-style rooms.

Day 2: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park (B-L-D)

In the morning, enjoy a city tour of Kigali. Learn about Rwanda’s history from pre- colonial times to the 1994 genocide and how this country has dealt with that past. See more of Rwanda today, walk around one of the many Kigali markets and some of the best handicraft shops. Kigali is one of the friendliest and cleanest of Africa’s cities attracting numerous visitors and investors to the capital.

Take lunch in Kigali then enjoy a scenic drive to Musanze, the base for Gorilla trekking at the Volcanoes National Park. The town itself, located only 25km from Uganda border with great views of the surrounding volcanoes.

Enjoy 2 night stay at a safari lodge located on the road to Kinigi, the perfect starting point for various activities on offer in Volcanoes National Park.

Day 3: Optional activities– Volcanoes National Park (B-L-D)

Today you can enjoy different activities on offer at your lodge. Please note these are not included and can be booked additionally, just speak to our specialists to find out more…

Optional activities: Golden monkeys trekking, Hiking to Dian Fossey’s grave, Hiking Mt Bisoke Visiting the caves in Musanze, Canoe trip Visiting the ex-poachers cultural village.

Enjoy an evening at your lodge unwinding under the stars with dinner.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking – Volcanoes National Park (B-L-D)

An early start today to set off on your gorilla trek! At the Volcanoes National Park HQs you will join your group with an expert Lead Guide who will give you a briefing before your adventure into the jungle begins…

After an exhilarating day, join your driver for a transfer back to your lodge.

Day 5: Volcanoes National Park – Kigali (B-L-D)

This morning you can choose from more activities on offer (to be booked additionally), or simply relax by the pool and soak up the sun before it is time to head back to your Kigali lodge for your final night.

Day 6: Departure (B)

Depart Kigali today, with a transfer to the airport in time for your flight home.
