Day 1: Arrive Antanarivo, Madagascar

Arrival at Antanarivo International airport, where you will be met by our local representatives and transferred to your boutique hotel for overnight.
Overnight: Lokanga Boutique Hotel

Day 2: Morondava - Kirindy Forest (B/D)

Transfer back to the airport today for your onward flight to Morondava. Drive to Kirindy Forest this morning. Kirindy comprises one of the most outstanding and threatened wildlife habitats in Madagascar: the dry deciduous forest. Dominated by majestic baobab trees and a forest canopy. this protected area is the only place where the world’s smallest known primate, the pygmy mouse lemur, the giant jumping rat and the fossas, the only endemic carnivorous specie of Madagascar occur.

Day 3: Morondava (B/D)

Enjoy more of the forest today – the forest is also home to many bird species, lemurs, varieties of reptiles, the turtle Erymnochelys madagascariensis, unique fresh water turtles, chameleons and many species of tenrecs and mangousts. In the afternoon, drive back to Morondava with a stop at Baobab Avenue for sunset.

Day 4: Antanarivo (B)

Transfer back to the airport today and fly back to Antanarivo. Transfer to your boutique hotel for overnight.

Day 5: Andasibe Natural Reserve (B/D)

Drive eastwards this morning to Andasibe natural reserve (about 3½ hour’s drive). On the way, stop for the visit of the insect and reptile farm Peyreiras also called Exotic park at Marozevo. It provides the opportunities for close viewing of some chameleons, leaf tailed geckos, butterflies, crocodiles and also lemurs.
Arrival in Andasibe in the afternoon and check-in at the hotel.
In the evening, enjoy a nocturnal walk to try to spot nocturnal species.

Day 6: Andasibe Natural Reserve (B/D)

Enjoy the whole day to explore Andasibe National Park. To see the most wildlife (especially Indris and birds) be in the rainforest as close to daybreak as possible when the animals are most active. The trails are not difficult to manage and the forest guides speak good English. You should also encounter the likes of Grey Bamboo Lemur, Red-fronted Brown Lemur; birds like the lovely Blue Coua; Sunbird-Asity and Nuthatch Vanga, as well as impressive reptiles like Malagasy Tree Boa and Parson’s Chameleon.
Orchids and other epiphytes festoon the trees.
Overnight: Vakona Lodge

Day 7: Antsirabe (B/D)

Check out of the lodge and you will be transferred by private car with your driver-guide to the highland town of Antsirabe. The drive takes around 6 hours. En- route at Ambatolampy, a quaint little town, have coffee at the Au Rendezvous Des Pecheurs. Antsirabe is a busy town, the rickshaw capital with pousse-pousse (rickshaw) drivers touting for business.

Day 8: Ranomafana National Park (B/D)

Transfer by road to the Ranomafana National Park, a journey of about 5 hours. You'll stop at Ambositra which is famous for its wood carvings. Ranomafana National Park features superb scenery and is dominated by the white-water River Namorona, which cascades through rainforest-clad slopes. There is a good system of trails, including several half-day walks. Ranomafana is famed for its twelve species of lemur including the three species of Bamboo Lemur.

Day 9: Ranomafana National Park (B/D)

For avid birders this is the place where you might find Brown Emutail, Madagascar Pygmy Kingfisher, Pitta-like and Rufous-headed ground-rollers, Brown Mesite, Yellow-browed Oxylabes, Crossley's Babbler, Forest Rock-thrush and Pollen's Vanga.

Day 10: Tuléar (B/D)

Depart for Tuléar today, visit the Arboretum en-route. Transfer this afternoon to your hotel for overnight.
Overnight: Bakuba Hotel

Day 11: Anakao Island (B/D)

Transfer to the Tuléar harbour for the boat transfer to Anakao for your next 3 nights. The rest of the day and evening at leisure to relax and enjoy the secluded resort.
Overnight: Anakao Ocean Lodge

Days 12 - 13: Anakao Island (B/D)

Days at leisure to relax and enjoy the resort and beachlife.
Overnight: Anakao Ocean Lodge

Day 14: Antanarivo (B)

Fly back to Antanarivo today for your final night. Transfer to your boutique hotel for overnight.

Day 15: Departure (B)

Time for a morning sightseeing and visit to the children's centre that we are proud to support. Transfer to the airport for your afternoon departure.
