Discover the North of Madagascar and Nosy Be on this 11 night tailor made Madagascar Holiday.
Explore Diego-Suarez with its glorious bays and pirate history. Visit the Natural Park of Montagne d’Ambre: the volcanic range offering several botanical trails and crater lakes. The park also provides home for wildlife ranging from rare reptiles, chameleons and lemurs to over 70 species of bird.

Day 1: Arrive Antanarivo, Madagascar

Arrival at Antanarivo International airport, where you will be met by our local representatives and transferred to your boutique hotel for overnight.
Overnight: Lokanga Boutique Hotel

Day 2: Diego-Suarez (B/D)

Transfer to the airport and fly to Diego-Suarez. Meet then transfer to the hotel then take time to discover Diego and its 3 bays (with picnic lunch on the beach): Sakalava Bay, Pigeons Bay and Dunes Bay. Of course, you will also be told about Diego’s Pirates’ History and see bay of Diego and its sugar loaf.

Day 3: Montagne d'Ambre National Park & Tsingys Rouge (B/D)

Take a short car trip south of Diego (approx 45min), to visit Natural Park of Montagne d’Ambre: this volcanic range offers several botanical trails, crater lakes, great cascades and provides home for wildlife ranging from rare reptiles, lemurs and 70 species of birds. Then continue to the “Tsingy rouge”, the Tsingy rouge consists of red laterite earth with beautiful crystal formations.

Day 4: Montagne des Français (B)

A full day to discover the French Mountain reserve known as the Montagne des Français. The Montagne des Français reserve protects deciduous dry forest characteristic of the north of Madagascar. These forests are rich in both fauna and flora and include a remarkable number of local and regional endemic species. In particular this is one of the best places to see one of the most beautiful baobabs.

Day 5: Diego-Saurez – Ankarana (B/D)

Drive to the exceptional Park of Ankarana, an island of “Tsingy” (limstone karst pinnacles) and forest penetrated by numerous caves and canyons.
Upon arrival you will discover the nearby bat filled grottos (with stalagmites and stalactites), underground rivers.

Day 6: Ankarana Reserve (B/D)

A full day to discover the special Ankarana Reserve.
Tsingy means “needles” in Malagasy and you will see why, when you see the vast forest of rugged and eroded rocks. Some of the razor sharp needles are several hundred metres high. This area was once under ocean and the rock formations have been made by a combination of water and later wind erosions. It has been classified World Natural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
Overnight: Le Baobab

Day 7: Ankarana – Ankify – Nosy-Be (Nosy Komba) (B/D)

Drive to Ankify. On the way, visit of coffee, cacao, ylang ylang, sugar cane and clove plantations and cross small towns of Ambilobe and Ambanja. Boat transfer to your final destination of the day: Nosy Komba.
Overnight: Residence Camelia

Days 8 - 11: Nosy Komba (B/L/D)

Nosy Komba is a small volcanic island, with beautiful beaches and plenty of lemurs. Follow the walking trails inland. A small paradise, Nosy Komba is only 30 min boat from main island Nosy Be.
Several activities can be organised such as a boat trip through the mangove, trekking in the forest, touring Nosy Kombain a pirogue etc. Ask us for more details.

Day 12: Departure (B)

Transfer to the airport for flight back to Antananarivo then transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
