This 11-night itinerary takes you to our favourite spots so you can get the most out of this paradise, from Bali’s lushous green landscapes, to volcanic craters, Komodo dragons and jungle trekking and Orangutans.

Day 1: Arrive Jakarta
Land Jakarta and make your way to the shuttle bus to transfer you to your hotel near the airport for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Jakarta – Pangkalanbun – Tanjung Puting (B,L,D)
After breakfast, return to airport to board your short flight to Kalimantan in Indonesian Borneo. Here you will travel by boat into Tanjung Puting National Park, a large lowland reserve home to some 600 bird species, 9 species of primates. Perhaps take a walk along the boardwalks to try and spot the plaintive cry of Gibbons or the resident Macaque monkey troop before dinner perhaps. Spend the night listening to the sounds of the jungle.
Day 3: Tanjung Puting (B,L,D)
Wake early today heading upstream where the jungle thickens to try and spot more wildlife from the deck. Arrive at Pondok Tanggui in time to see the morning Orangutan feeding at 9am. Return to the boat to continue further upriver passing the black river and enjoy lunch onboard en route. Arrive into the famed Camp Leakey where you will explore the research centre seeing the feeding program in action. Hike on a short trek along one of the many trails to explore the incredible wildlife such as Orangutans, Gibbons, wild pigs, Kingfisher Broadbill, Hornbills and a whole host of Flora and Fauna. After your jungle adventure, return by boat heading to your lodge.
Day 4: Tanjung Puting (B,L,D)
After breakfast, depart by a Klotok for Pesalat Camp, an NGO sponsored site which is attempting to reseed a part of the national park largely destroyed by illegal logging and forest fires. Your guide will help you to embark upon the Carbon Offsetting program and to chat to the local villagers working there. Head back to the boat where lunch is served and continue onwards to explore Tanjung Harapan Camp for the last Oranugtan feed. Time permitting visit the village to see the Malayan and Semi Dayak settlement in the gate of the national park.
Return to your lodge to spot Proboscis Monkeys and as darkness falls have a chance to see the Nipa Palms which are surrounded by thousands of fireflies. Dinner is served at the lodge and your evening is free to rest.
Day 5: Tanjung Puting – Pangkalan Bun – Jakarta - Bali – Ubud (B)
Depart early heading to Kumai port and onto Pangkalan Bun Airport for your onward flight to Bali, via Jakarta. Upon arrival at Denpasar airport you will be met and transferred to Ubud, the arts and cultural centre of Bali, where you will stay 3 nights surrounded by lush gardens and idyllic views of Monkey Forest.
Day 6: Ubud (B,L)
The day starts with a visit to the western coast of Bali for a visit to the famous sea-side temple of Tanah Lot which has been defying the Indian Ocean for centuries. Heading off to Jatiluwih, you will have the chance to see some of the most stunning rice terraces in the world. Lunch will be taken at a local restaurant. This afternoon, discover a mysterious Hindu temple before following the road back to Ubud with some of the most beautiful landscape of Bali.
Day 7: Sunrise at Mount Batur (B)
An early departure this morning to hike up to the summit of Mount Batur, to arrive in time for sunrise and stunning views of the volcanic crater. After a simple breakfast make the descent, visiting en route the three younger craters and any recent lava flow.
Located in the village of Penelokan, there are two natural pools at these hot springs and legend has it that the heated mineral water inside them is said to cure all sorts of ailments. Enjoy a soothing dip in the pools before returning to your island accommodation.
Day 8: Bali – Kanawa (B,L,D)
Today have a relaxing morning before your transfer back to Denpasar Airport to fly onto Lahuan Bajo. Here travel by boat to Komodo Resort Diving Club where you will spend the next 3 nights.
Days 9-10: Kanawa Island (B,L,D)
Days at leisure, ample time to relax while enjoying the hotel facilities or exploring Komodo national park independently, home to the Komodo Dragon. Being the world’s largest lizards and belonging to the monitor family, it is thought to be one of the oldest living lizards which is thought to have originated 50 million years ago.

Day 11: Labuan Bajo – Bali (B)
After breakfast, you are free to pack before transferring back to Labuan Bajo airport around lunchtime for the onwards flight back to Bali and to your hotel for your last night in Indonesia.
Day 12: Departure (B)
Check out and meet your guide for transfer service back to Denpasar airport, and onwards to your overnight flight back home.
