This 14-day private tour features our favourite ‘hidden gems’ of Jordan. You stay in a combination of small, unique lodges and cabins from local Bedouin tents to comfortable hotels. On this tour we really try and get you away from the crowds and instead take you to the lesser visited national parks of the country.

Of course you also visit the highlights including Jerash, Ajloun, Madaba the City of Mosaics and the most famous site of all - Petra.

Scattered throughout the black basalt desert, the Desert Castles stand as testament to the flourishing beginnings of the Islamic-Arab civilization. Visit Qasr Hallabat, Qasr Amra, and Qasr Kharaneh. Transfer onwards to the Azraq Lodge, a converted 1940’s British military field hospital, located in the Azraq Wetland Reserve at the edge of the Eastern Desert. Enjoy dinner and overnight here.

Day 4: Ajloun / Jerash / Dead Sea (B)

This morning you will transfer to visit the nearby site of Ajloun and then onwards to Jerash. From the top of the castle, visitors can enjoy panoramic views into the Jordan Valley and throughout the highlands of north Jordan. Also visit Mt. Nebo located on a cliff overlooking the Jordan Valley and Dead Sea, long believed to be the burial place of Moses. Then drive through the magnificent scenery of Wadi Mujib to Kerak to visit the Crusader Castle. Continue onwards to Dana Nature Reserve’s cosy Dana Guesthouse for overnight.

Day 7: Dana Biosphere Reserve (B)

Today you will hike across the Biosphere Reserve, a distance of some 14 kilometres (roughly 5 hours walking), a spectacular downhill walk from Dana Guesthouse through the sandstone gorge of Wadi Dana to Feynan Eco Lodge.
