CORONAVIRUS UPDATE – March 21, 2021
The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) still places many restrictions on foreign travel. The current advisory could be removed at any time with no notice. Some countries are now exempt from the FCDO advisory but the situation is likely to change on a weekly basis.
The COVID-19 pandemic has led to unprecedented international border closures and other restrictions. All countries may restrict or allow travel without notice. As the global situation around CV-19 continues to develop, we are working quickly and diligently to assist our clients. Since the rapid closure of many borders in March, our immediate efforts to relocate and repatriate clients outside of the UK were successful. After everyone was sheltered safely at home, we worked to reschedule postponed holidays or refund customers no longer able to travel.
If you are travelling in the next 4-8 weeks, we will be in touch with you as a priority to evaluate your options.
Please consider a future date to reschedule your travel. Re-booking your holiday is the best option all round and Odyssey World are waiving any amendment fees to rearrange your bespoke travel itineraries. We are working with airlines and suppliers to minimise extra costs for you. Airline policies are changing frequently and rolling forward to reflect the current travel restrictions. You will have our personal attention by direct line and email as we clearly identify your options and assess all holidays on a case by case basis.
If you are travelling after July 1, please be patient. We are monitoring the situation closely and already considering options for your trip. We will be in touch shortly to discuss these with you. If you are travelling from the UK, we are expecting an update from the government on April 12th with a plan from the Global Travel Taskforce report. If there is no current Foreign Office advice against travel to a region, cancellation will be subject to our regular terms and conditions. We are being as flexible as possible to reschedule holidays on a case by case basis, where required.
