Launched in mid 2006, the Halong Ginger is a wooden junk that combines classic beauty with modern comfort. The custom-designed junk features three decks that house an elegant restaurant, lounge, two bars, a small boutique, library and ten luxurious sleeping cabins. With so much space, passengers can truly unwind.

Halong Ginger is a small, intimate cruise boat offering just 10 cabins along either side of the central deck, n arrangement which ensures each room has a private, unobstructed view of the ocean. The deluxe rooms come with three large windows which let in plenty of light, and huge bathrooms with marble countertops. Dinner aboard the boat is a tasty set seafood menu eaten in the well appointed Ginger restaurant and why not finish your evening with drinks on the upper deck or in the Ginger bar.

Halong Ginger's cruising route moves away from most of the traffic of Halong Bay, and unlike many of the other junks in the bay, it doesn't retrace its path. During your time on the Halong Ginger, you can relax on the top deck taking in the stunning mountain scenery, join in the early morning Tai Chi class or try your hand at cooking with the Vietnamese cookery classes. For those wanting to explore off the boat, there is a tender which can take you to the deserted beaches and lakes, or you can simply swim in the warm waters of the Gulf of Tonkin.
