This 12 night/13 day tailor made holiday to Malaysia starts with the hustle and bustle of the capital of Kuala Lumpur, which has grown from a small, sleepy Chinese tin-mining village to the modern and vibrant city it is today. Here you can enjoy the views from the famed Petronas Twin Towers, maybe take in the sights and smells of Chinatown and enjoy a spot of shopping on any of the sprawling malls of the city. From here you will change pace and head into Taman Negara National Park for some time enjoying the peaceful surroundings and outdoor pursuits on offer in this the largest National Park in Malaysia. After time exploring the Park, we will transfer you onto the East Coast of the country for a well deserved rest in the stunning Tanjong Jara Resort. Days at leisure to explore the city.Day 5: Taman Negara National Park (B/-/D)
This morning you will depart on a shuttle bus from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Tembeling, a journey of approximately 3 hours. From here you will continue by boat to the Mutiara Taman Negara Resort located within the Taman Negara National Park. The Park was established in 1938/1939 and the name, Taman Negara, literally means National Park in Bahasa Melayu. The Park is home to many geological and biological attractions as well as Gunung Tahan, the highest point of the Malay Peninsula and a host of rare mammals including the Sumatran Rhinoceros, the Malayan Gaur and the Asian Elephant. This afternoon is at leisure to explore the region before enjoying a buffet dinner at Seri Mutiara restaurant followed by a video presentation at the Interpretative Centre. In the evening enjoy a night jungle walk with a nature guide to spot the nocturnal animals of the Park.Day 6: Taman Negara National Park (B/L/D)
After a buffet breakfast you will head off for some jungle trekking to Teresek Hill where you can see some stunning views of the Park and then to the Canopy Walkway. Return to the resort for lunch and in the afternoon take a boat journey along the Sungei Tahan River to Lata Berkoh for swimming. This evening enjoy a buffet dinner at Seri Mutiara restaurant and overnight at the Mutiara Taman Negara Resort.Day 7: Taman Negara / Tanjong Jara (B/-/-)
After breakfast, depart by boat to Kuala Tembling where you will be met and privately transferred to the Tanjong Jara resort on the East Coast (approximately 5 hours drive).Days 8 - 12: Tanjong Jara at leisure (B/-/-)
