Shinta Mani Luang Prabang ****

The Shinta Mani, creator of the award winning sustainable hospitality concept will open its new property in Luang Prabang in December 2010. Situated on a hill overlooking the UNESCO Heritage town of Luang Prabang, the hotel will bring with it all the signature services of its sister property in Siem Reap, offering comfortable accommodations while at the same time reaching out to help the local community.

The hotel has 54 well appointed rooms, all offering views of the surrounding countryside, with room categories ranging from standard terrace rooms right up to the 4 unique pool houses. All the rooms have a huge terrace with a big sunbed overlooking the stunning valley.

The hotel houses an Indochinese restaurant featuring cuisine from the Mekong region, along with a bakery shop, Spa, gym and superb large hilltop swimming pool offering views over the valley below. The hotel will also be continuing its sustainable hospitality principles introduced in the flagship Siem Reap property with the creation of their development institute which offers education and skills training for local youths.
