Day 1: Departure
Today you will take the Singapore Airlines flight from the UK to Denpasar, Bali, via Singapore.Day 2: Land Denpasar, Bali
Land Denpasar. Upon arrival you will be met at the airport and transferred to your chosen Ubud hotel. Overnight Ubud.Days 3-4: Ubud at leisure (B/-/-)
The next 2 days are at leisure to explore the cultural heart of Bali, maybe enjoy some of the adventure activities on offer or simply relax in your hotel.Day 5: Ubud / Flores (B/L/D)
This morning you wil transfer back to Denpasar for the short flight across to the island of Flores.Embark in Labuhanbajo on the Western tip of Flores. After a few hours of sailing, we will make our first stop at the small island of Mesa to visit a settlement of the Baju or 'Sea Gypsies' who are indigenous to the area of the Lintas Strait and the Komodo National Park. Long time ago, they descended from South China into the Indonesian seas. They are mostly fishermen and seafarers on the pinisi vessels, carrying cargo between the Indonesian islands.
Day 6: Rinca (B/L/D)
Today you'll have your first encounter with the fierce Komodo dragons on the island of Rinca, one of the two remaining islands where these fantastic creatures roam wild in their natural habitat. The park rangers will protect you against attack from animals that can grow into 3m long, 150kg heavy monsters and will chase you for food! Later on you'll sail to a deserted beach for some fine snorkelling.Day 7: Komodo Island (B/L/D)
Today you will enjoy a visit to Komodo National Park and consequently another appointment with the Komodo dragons. After landing on Komodo's shore, local park rangers will guide you on a safari through the habitat of the varanus komodoensis. Chances are high you will come face to face with the largest monitor lizard in the world. The island is also a good place to observe birdlife. Time permitting, you can have a look at the small but interesting Park Laboratory Museum, mingle with the human locals or relax on the beach. A stop at a marvellous semi-deserted beach is planned as well. There are several excellent spots around Komodo for swimming and easy snorkelling... At night, the crew will prepare a romantic beach barbecue under the stars. Late night departure for Bima.Day 8: Bima (B/L/D)
In Bima, the bustling capital of East Sumbawa, a full day trip will bring you to a colorful local market and a traditional weaving village. Witness the daily activities of people in the countryside. Late afternoon, the boat set sails to Satonda.Day 9: Satonda (B/L/D)
Travel eastward and reach Satonda. See the mysterious crater lake and a remarkable wishing well tree! Relax on a nearby white sandy beach. The coral garden here is teeming with colorful fish. In the early afternoon depart to Lombok.Day 10: Lombok (B/L/D)
Arrive in West Lombok and enjoy an excursion on an island which deserves more attention. The home of the Sasaks, the original inhabitants, the island was injected with a fair dose of Hindu-Bali culture, as for centuries the tiny island was part of much powerful kingdoms on the east coast of Bali. It still shows in the temples around Mataram, the sleepy capital city. Many home gardens are decorated with typical Hindu house shrines. Wander through villages with traditional houses, topped by the unmistakably shaped lumbung roofs, stroll along markets with enthusiastic shoppers or buy traditional weaving products directly from the villagers.Day 11: Lombok / Bali (B/L/-)
In the morning the boat will anchor one last time at a small island off the South West coast of Lombok. Your last chance to snorkel and enjoy beach life in a paradise-like environment. At noon the boat will set sail to Bali. Arrival in Benoa Harbour later afternoon and disembark. Transfer to your hotel for the night.Day 12: Departure (B/-/-)
Today you will transfer back to Denpasar airport for your return flight to the UK. Important notes: The cruise boat operates set departure dates so please contact us for further information.
