Mabul Island is a small picturesque island located off the south-east coast of Sabah which can be circumnavigated on foot in less than an hour. On the Island you will find the Sipadan-Mabul (SMART) Resort and the more luxurious Mabul Water Bungalows.

The Mabul Water Bungalows comprise just 15 stilted water bungalows. Each bungalow is comfortably furnished with contemporary decor and is equipped with air-conditioning, colour TV with satellite channels, mini bar, en-suite bathroom, spacious private balcony offering panoramic vistas of the clear blue sea.

Sipadan-Mabul (SMART) Resort comprises 45 semi-detached and detached chalets, built from materials native to Borneo, accommodating up to 90 guests. Each chalet offers en-suite bathroom, 2 oversized single beds, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, mosquito screens and verandah. Each chalet has a small seating area; the detached chalets are more spacious.

A small swimming pool is on site and there is a large dining and relaxation area with a bar. Alternatively, perch at the jetty bar if you don't make it back to your chalet after the dive! A small shop stocks a few sundry items and internet access is available for a small charge.
