Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge

Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge was opened in 1994 and is a wonderfully charming lodge set in the jungle. All rooms have en-suite bathroom, hot shower and ceiling fan. There is a beautiful sun deck facing the river where you can relax after dinner. You will have the option of river cruises and wildlife spotting here. At the back of the lodge is the jungle trail that you may trek if the weather permits. Birds, Red Leaf Monkey and wild Orang Utan are often spotted.

The lodge is run by a local company who work with the locals by paying a monthly fee for the land rental. They also hire locals to take care and manage the lodge. The lodge is safe from flooding all year round and can be reached by road or boat. Biodegradable and environmentally friendly shampoo, soap and paper is used and a reverse Osmosis water purifier system. There is a restaurant “Orang Utan Corner” where you will eat all meals and a library room for relaxing at the end of a busy day sightseeing. One of our favourite lodges!
