A wonderful 14-day tailor made holiday of the main highlights of Sabah, Borneo including the majesty of Mt. Kinabalu, a thrilling canopy walk high about the jungle, endangered turtles, unique Proboscis monkeys along the Kinabatangan River and of course the loveable orang-utans. You will end your tailor made adventure with a few days at a luxury beach resort for some well-earned relaxation.

Day 1: Depart the UK

Depart London Heathrow on a scheduled Malaysia Airlines flight non-stop to Kuala Lumpur.

Day 2: Arrive Borneo

Arrive in Kuala Lumpur and then fly onto Kota Kinabalu on Malaysia Airlines. On arrival transfer directly to your hotel for 2 nights.

Day 3: Day at leisure

ToDay is completely at leisure to relax and explore your surroundings.

Day 4: Selingan Turtle Island

Return private transfer to the airport for the flight across to Sandakan. Upon arrival, depart for Selingan Island, one of three where Green and Hawksbill turtles come ashore almost nightly throughout the year to lay their eggs. The rest of the Day is free for snorkelling or to explore the island's jungle interior. This evening, you will see the turtles on the beach.

Day 5: Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary

Return to the mainland. Transfer to the Sepilok Nature Resort. Time at leisure to visit the Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary (entrance fee approx RM35 per person). You can witness 2 feedings today, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. Evening at leisure.

Day 6: Kinabatangan River

After breakfast, depart Sandakan by boat and cruise across to your riverside lodge. A great chance for wildlife sightings en-route. Please note the lodge has ceiling fans, but no air conditioning.

Day 7: Kinabatangan River

Wake up to the calls of gibbons and hornbills. Early morning, take a river trip to the Ox Bow Lake to observe wildlife and experience the early morning river ambience of the longest river of Sabah. A chance for more wildlife spotting in the afternoon.

Day 8: Mt. Kinabalu Park/Poring Hot Springs

This morning, drive overland to the Poring Hot Springs, developed by the Japanese in WWII. Relax in steaming, sulphurous pools and explore the various nature trails. There is also a canopy walkway, some 30 metres above the jungle floor: fascinating but not for the faint-hearted! Transfer onwards to your mountain Lodge for overnight.

Day 9: Mt. Kinabalu Park

Take a walk with your guide along a nature trail, followed by a video presentation at the Park Headquarters. Enjoy a guided walk in the Mountain Garden in the afternoon. Overnight in the park.

Day 10: Beach Resort

Morning at leisure in the Park, then transfer back towards Kota Kinabalu and onto your luxury beach-side resort for some well earned relaxation for the next 4 nights. Breakfast included (B)

Day 11 -13: Days at leisure

Days at leisure to relax and enjoy the resort's facilities and the beach.

Day 14: Departure

Transfer to the airport for flight from Kota Kinabalu to Kuala Lumpur to connect with flight to London Heathrow.
