The Diplomat

The Diplomat Guesthouse is situated in Arcadia, the historical old eastern suburb of Pretoria. Arcadia Street is a wooded lane, which also houses several embassies. The turn-of-the-century, gracious Victorian manor, with its high, pressed steel ceilings and wooden floors, has a tranquillity and sophistication which is echoed in the tasteful colonial interiors and the superb personalised service provided by the owner and hostess, Marga Hofmeyr.

The Guesthouse overlooks a peaceful, well- established, shaded garden watched over by magnificent, century-old Jacaranda trees inhabited by a profusion of indigenous birds. The garden extends to secret hideaways where solitude and privacy can be found for moments of quiet reflection.
