Luxury Botswana from £3,780pp
The trip of a lifetime, this 4-night fly-in luxury safari included all meals, drinks and of course your daily activities and game
drives at two of the most luxurious and famous camps in Botswana.
Day 1: Arrive Maun - Vumbra Plains Camp
On arrival in Maun, you will be met by our representative who will assist you onto your light aircraft flight to the extreme north of the Okavango Delta. You will take in the magnificence of the winding, papyrus fringed channels that make up one of the world's greatest wet land wonders. You should be able to see some of Africa's most celebrated animals from a bird's eye view – 500 feet above the ground. On arrival at the private airstrip, you will be met by your welcoming hosts and shown to your accommodation for the next 2 nights.
All meals, drinks, laundry and game viewing are included at Vumbra Plains Camp during your stay.
Day 2: Vumbra Plains Camp
Vumbura Plains Camp offers both land and water activities, principally nature viewing in varied habitats in open 4x4 vehicles, nature walks, mokoro trips and boat excursions. Whilst exploring the spectacular ecology of this area, one can enjoy close-up viewing of lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah and buffalo along with all the plains game.
Birding around Vumbura Plains Camp is incredible - with both variety and prolific numbers. The Vumbura area is possibly the only area in the Okavango Delta where one can see red lechwe (an animal that inhabits the fringes of the waterways) and sable antelope (an animal that prefers the dry countryside) on the same game drive.
All meals, drinks, laundry and game viewing are included at Vumbra Plains Camp during your stay.
Day 3: Little Mombo Camp
You will depart Vumbra Plains today by light aircraft and continue to Little Mombo Camp. Situated on Mombo Island, adjoining the northern tip of Chief's Island, it sits within the Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta, in northern Botswana. It is a smaller and more intimate camp than its sister, Mombo Camp, to which it is connected via a raised walkway. Little Mombo Camp is built under a shady canopy and has three luxurious, spacious rooms under canvas with en-suite bathrooms and outdoor showers for guests looking to get closer to nature. Much of Little Mombo Camp overlooks the surrounding floodplains which offer some of the best big game viewing in the Okavango Delta. A sala, large veranda and lounge area provide ample place to relax and enjoy the view. The Camp also has its own dining room, kitchen and pool.
All meals, drinks, laundry and game viewing are included at Little Mombo Camp during your stay.
Day 4: Little Mombo Camp
Activities include morning and afternoon game drives. Open 4x4s provide an exquisite vantage for viewing the high concentrations of plains game and all the predators - including the big cats. Lion sightings are frequent. Guests at Little Mombo Camp can also expect to see leopard and cheetah, wild dog, spotted hyena, large herds of buffalo, elephant, white rhino, southern giraffe, blue wildebeest and Burchell's zebra.
All meals, drinks, laundry and game viewing are included at Little Mombo Camp during your stay.
