This wonderfully affordable Botswana 4-night Safari visits areas such as the Okavango Delta and the Chobe National Park which have been magically transformed by the great waters of Africa. Guests get to see flora and fauna unique to each area whilst experiencing a mix of different activities and cultures. Activities include: game drives off road and in the evenings, game walks, mokoro, fishing, Okavango motorboat cruise and Chobe River Cruises.
Days 1 - 2: Botswana – Okavango Delta
On arrival in Maun, you will be met by our Safaris representative and assisted onto your light aircraft twenty minute flight over the south-western Delta taking in the magnificence of the winding, papyrus fringed cahnnels that make up one of the world’s greatest wet land wonders. You should be able to see some of Africa’s most celebrated animals from a bird’s eye view – 500 feet above the ground. On arrival at the private airstrip, you will be met by welcoming hosts and shown to your choice of tented accommodation. Overlooking the legendary Chiefs Island and bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, Gunn’s Camp is one of the last few remaining luxury vintage safari camps, set under leafy palms and African Ebony to blend naturally with its unique surroundings. The camp consists of 7 large en-suite Kenya-style meru tents and an elevated honeymoon chalet. Activities on offer are mokoro excursions, game walks and motorboat excursions.
Spend the next 2 nights at Gunns Camp including all meals and game viewing.
Days 3 – 4: Pom Pom Camp
Continue further into the Okavango Delta today and transfer to Pom Pom Camp, located on Pom Pom Island in a private concession situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta and on the headwaters of the Xudum river system. The area lies on the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve and offers superb Okavango scenery and a true Okavango wilderness experience.
Accommodation consists of 9 luxury safari tents in true traditional safari style, all with full en-suite semi-open ablution facilities. The main building is attractively designed and constructed of thatch and canvas and comprises lounge, dining, bar and pool areas, as well as a gift shop and the boma area.
Spend the next 2 nights at Pom Pom Camp including all meals and game viewing.
Day 5: Departure
Today you will fly from Pom Pom to Maun where the tour ends.
